Pink Fountain

I took this on the Stanford University campus in November, not knowing why the water had been tinted pink. Was it a reference to breast cancer awareness, something to do with LGBTQ issues, or a nod to the day’s Big Game (Stanford vs. UC Berkeley football)? The school’s color is cardinal red, but red water would look like blood. Bright pink is more optimistic and a new sign of change.
